Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Given that I've been a fan of Jake Gyllenhaal since The Day After Tomorrow, it's redundant to ask if I'll be going to watch the Prince of Persia, after all that hype about the movie and how buffed JG had become....

Just will you check out those ripping muscles ...

Although imdb only gave it a mere rating of 6.8, I would still recommend it to everyone to watch (and no I'm not being biased here..I sincerely thought it was close to being awesome!). After all, it's the man's first attempt at such a film genre. Action packed till the last minute and I must say Gemma Arterton, spells HOT HOT HOT as Princess Tamina in the movie. (Bonus point: He's got an awfully cute smile!!). Cool graphics and I swear I was on the edge of my seat many times.

Cal looked at me at one point of movie when JG and GA shared their first kiss, towards the end of the movie and said "Are you sad?" Well, I might have just strangled her if the kiss lasted more than 5 seconds...

Replied A's text after the movie and told him I was done with Prince of Persia. He asked how it went. My reply, definitely awesome. He was skeptical. Sure? Yes! Sure? Ok fine...cause of Jake Gyllenhaal! HA HA HA

RM10 for a 2 hour movie, definitely well worth spent!

I would have rated it - 8/10

Off to Singapore in a bit. Finally!! After being homebound for a month. Definitely gonna miss some things around here but ... say hi to chilli crabs and Ice Cold Beer wings!!!!

Why do they cast bloody good looking males in most vampire movies/ series?

They had Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire then Rob Pattinson in Twilight.

Just check out Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore (the evil one) in The Vampire Diaries, the new series by the CW - now up to Episode 5. I am hooked! Here's the long trailer...(Sean, if you're reading this - I think you will not have much complaints with the choice of guys here after your complaints on me liking Horatio from CSI Miami!! And at least it did not get axed like 'The Beautiful Life')

Shakoor's Video Shoot

Ok these are really BAD shots...but this is what happens when you go out to experience what it's really like at a shooting scene and forget you LX3.

Here I am at Mist on a Sunday morning to see Shakoor shooting the video for his first single, 'Bhranga Hip Hop' (I hope this is what it's called). It's already out on our local stations but I only managed to listen to it this morning for the very first time, during the shoot. It's like a mix of hip hop and Bhranga together with some really groovy dance moves - the video. My 3 seconds of fame came when I was pulled (conned!!) to do a 8 step Bhranga dance! And I know I suck -yeah..apparently there's a video clip of me doing it but I haven't gotten hold of it yet.

Here's da man himself who did not shave for months just to get this look for the shoot!

Wish I could have stayed a bit longer but mua is rushing off to the airport for my flight to Singapore later.

Anyway....do look out for this catchy lil song on you local radio stations! No disappointments!

A big fan of Nicholas Teo, I've always missed the opportunity to meet the man himself when he's down in KL. It's because I'm always travellliiinnnnnggg.... sigh..and considering I know someone who works with him. Sighhhhh!!!

But anyway, thanks CY for getting this signed CD copy for me!!! I've got a few at home but never the chance to see him in person.

He he, yesterday 'you' asked me if I know the lyrics to this song - 方炯镔 - 坏人 . Well, here it is. Go figure it out! I love this song- saying it again...makes me wanna tear. I found a chic on you tube who has the music score. Haven't touched my piano in 2 years. If I manage to get the score off her, I'm definitely going to learn and play this song - no doubt!

Lam Fung in 1 Utama

Lesson learnt: Always learn the functions of your NEW camera before going to catch your favourite star in action - otherwise, get crappy shots and realize that it maybe better to just watch them on the telly rather than join a crowd of hundreds (pushed and squashed like sardines) just to catch a glimpse of them.

I thought my Lumix LX3 could only zoom up to a mediocre X2.5. And this is the outcome of it......then only I came back found a tutorial online on testing the entire zoom range of the LX3 at http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1033&message=29209912

Fish Leong in Concert, Hong Kong 2009

I managed to catch Fish Leong in concert during the weekend in Hong Kong.

Some pics from Fish Leong's concert in the newly renovated Hung Hum Coliseum in Hong Kong on March 15, 2009. -If I remember clearly, her theme was something like 'White Valentines'.

Me and LinLin got pretty good seats for HKD500, although it was at the side..but unfortunately Fish Leong hardly looked our side and I hardly got any front view shots of her.  Although not as entertaining as Lee Hom's concert which I went with Lin Lin in Cotai Arena at the Venetian Macau, it was nonetheless pretty good and a surprise or two were thrown in.  She rendered most of her classics like 'Yong Qi' (Courage) and 'Fen Shou Kuai Le'(Happiness when broken up).

Perhaps one of the highlight of the night was the acrobatic duo from Beijing!!

I was really fascinated by their stunts and they were moving so swiftly, my Ixus could not catch a good view of them hanging mid-air with their stunts.
And guess who she had as guest artist!!! None other than Leo Ku!!!!

And dressed very casually for the ENCORE!!!

And this is my all time favourite song from her. 属于. Too bad the fler who recommended this song to me ain't here to experience her concert too!!

Originality

..this has got to be the next best thing after William Hung.

Gotta salute this Korean dude's courage to sing in English.....(please turn on your speakers!! or at least have your headphones on)

After 12 pm, I officially go on leave for 9 1/2 days. for Chinese New Year..wooohooo...can't wait for the BBQ at Jackjack's place tonight!

Lee Hom's concert...finally

one of the most enjoyable and impressive concert's I've been to in a long long time - at the Cotai Arena, Venetian Hotel, Macau on Jan 10, 2009! The opening started off with a big bang of fireworks.




The theme of the concert was 'Music Man' where he portrayed himself as one of the superheroes - just like batman, superman ...


There was like this special mike where he used and instant transformation of his voice into a grave sounding hero!


Great graphics as well!!! A comic depicting Music Man!!



The man's a perfectionist! He played the voilin, guitar and piano during the show on top of corrning his romantic ballads! You could just fall in love with him instantly! Good looks, great voice and a physique to die for...what more can one ask for??

An element of surprise for all of us when he did this little magic act and appeared almost at the back of the hall, a mere 2-3 metres away from where I was seated. I could have fainted if it were any closer! (The pictures will tell how close were were - yes, I did zoom a little!!)

And last of all, great sound system. Listen to two of my favourite ballads I took using my digital cam..
