To Arthur! and Janice's Farewell

At times like this I love my Lumix LX3..

Last night we had a mini farewell for Janice, who will be heading off to Japan to further her Nihon-Go studies this coming Sunday. After dinner in USJ, we headed back to Bangsar South to meet up with George and Danny just to be told that SIDS is packed. Made a detour and headed towards Finnegans on Jalan Telawi to celebrate Arthur Guinness' 250th Birthday in style! According to my 'tong chi' Joanna, Malaysia has the 5th highest number of Guinness drinkers in the world and to think I was a real late starter (ahem..influenced again by my alchy friend whose name starts with the capital C)

I was also told that in European countries, only fat, old women drink Guinness. So to all the hot chics back home good on ya!

Priced at RM11 nett for 1/2 pint, we drank like there's no tomorrow (I wish!). Was a good night out with lots of pictures taken and Jayson happily snapping away with his brand new RM3800 Olympus camera (which Khoo-san reminding us repeatedly ..RM3800...RM3800)

While Calene is holidaying away in Salzburg this weekend, the rest of us back home are keeping ourselves contented with our fix of Guinness. (hehe..don't u miss us back home Cal)

Here's a group pose of my classmates from Jap class (Back L-R (backsides facing the camera):- Jayson, Loo Moon and Sammi Front L-R: yours truly, Khoo and the lucky girl who's going to Japan, Janice)
Here's the Rm3800 Olympus camera. Jayson's new baby apart from his Tofu Car (think jay Chou in Initial D)

And finally, here's a picture of the very bloated George and me..
Here's wishing Janice a safe trip to Japan and don't forget our 'omiyage' when you're back in town!

The Year of the OX!!! - Part 2

Day 4 of CNY. The Year of the Ox - so far so good. From 9 days of holidays, I'm now down with another 3. Time sure does fly past. This year has been a bit different for me as I no do not have to goto the ex's hometown to 'bai lin' - which has been a tradition for the past 4 years. So from day 3 onwards, I've been just house visiting, sitting around watching Astro at home and winning money! He he he.

On day 2 of CNY, my family and I had a open house - also the first time since we moved to our place 3 years ago. Couz WF, who's an apprentice chef whipped up a delicious lunch for all of us. From vietnamese spring rolls to pasta to salad. I only contributed the mash potatoes, which of course got insulted. "At least I had 2 scoops WHAT"- Calene told me.

Ok what! Looks not too bad!
For the first time in many many years, I've had a winning streak since my HKD1600 win at the Venetian Macau few weeks back. Small win is better than nothing!! So may the good luck run throughout the year of the Ox!!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!!!

iamsiaoyue.blogspot.com wishes all my readers a happy new year.

May 2009 be filled with happiness and contentment for everyone!!

Start making your resolution and new year's wishes!!!! My resolution? It's the same for the past 2 years but there doesn't seem to be any improvement - loose weight!!!!! My wish? I just want to be happy...2008 has been a rough a year and filled with misfortunes.....

But I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the 3rd of my 4 'jee muis', Lin Lin who got proposed to couple of nights ago by her Loong Loong. (She said she would never marry if the ring did not suit her liking....so if she accepted - u guess the rest....I had a glimpse of the bling bling. It was gorgeouuusssss!!!!)

Awesome, Funsome Christmas Night 2008 at WIP, BSC

The night started off a bit slow for some of us while waiting for everyone to turn up at WIP Bangsar Shopping Centre for Christmas Eve Countdown.

WIP had a rather interesting way to celebrate Christmas. All of us were meant to write our wishes on a piece of paper and tie it to a balloon. Upon the stroke of midnight, everyone was to release their balloons into the air, hoping that wishes would come true. What did I wish for? Secret la, where can tell or else it won't come true!

I like this shot of Hedz and Sooyin......Hedz's wish for 2009,"I don't want to be called GAY anymore. After all, I did make it to the Top 50 of Cleo Bachelor 2008!!!"

Sooyin's wishes to meet more hunky divers...I think her wish came true la..Hedz is currently learning to dive...MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

It was also Daniel and Shyan's brithday, so it's always tradition to down the flaming. I reckon the flaming is a little overpriced in WIP for RM65 (if i remembered correctly, as compared to only RM39 in Bar Savanh 2, Mont Kiara when we celebrated Cal's Birthday)

Daniel the yellowChimp and his mini Birthday cake....from us...so SWEET leh (I mean his friends, considering he thought I wore a PYJAMAS to a Christmas Eve party, the cake should be on his face instead!)

And trust Jack jack to liven up a party with all his antics!

First, he made everyone stand in circles to take pictures??!??

Then, he wanted me to do a sexy pose with the cherry..but I think I din pull it off very nicely...HA HA

After that pose failed, he reckon I would do a better job posing as a GHOST...(From this picture, I know I badly need a haircut..)

Here's one of Jackjack trying to be macho...and errr...Hedz can't hide his gay fetishes very well...

I swear me and cal did not plan to end up wearing red shoes....(see I finally have the chance to wear my Charles and Keith). But she thought she had better taste because AT LEAST she wore a matching skirt, unlike my pyjamas!)

Teresa and Cal, childhood buddies...

Yes, and finally one decent shot of the guys! (yeah and in case ur wondering, Hedz is holding de invisible glass)

P/S: I have a video of 2 people salsa-ing away very happily last night. The 2 ppl...hmmmmm...depends how you bribe me or else, the video will be up here veeerrryy soon!!!!!

Once again MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE....
