SO WHO IS THE REAL KLGUY?

We were invited to Sue and Ron's Registration of Marriage today. And when there is free flow of bubbly starting from 9 am, you know a lot of people are going to end up doing silly things. No there was no 'rampas' the groom or bride.....

After the drama with KLGUY the past week, my friends have become 'strangely fascinated' with this dude. Somehow, my strange friends came to a conclusion that Yellow Chimp must be KLGUY...since his command of English is perhaps on the same level as the chimp. Most of us can't even write or speak well to begin with...


So Jack-O came up with this brilliant idea to search for the REAL KLGUY. We all believe he's hiding amongst us!! HA HA HA

Could it be the soft spoken We-Chard who recently came back from Japan. They say quiet guys are the most dangerous and scary!

Or the mysterious man behind the pink fan....

Then here are two ppl pointing fingers at each other - not wanting to admit they have 'strange' lifestyles and friends. Everyone trying to look mysterious in their sunnies...the Chimp and JimJim.

And here's everyone having a bit of fun trying to get the words K-L-G-U-Y after a bit too much bubbly. Yeah, I just can't comprehend my friends who have such strange lifestyles. and Yeah..we LOVE U MAN...Cal adds that Jim looks like he's trying to impersonate James Bond.

And where is the mastermind hiding all this while. Directing the photo shoots of course and pointing fingers at everyone, getting them to admit that they are in fact the real KLGUY...of course he was unsuccessful with his accusations.

And back to the real highlight of my Saturday - Sue and Ron's ROM...more pics will come. Except for the morning sun which got us all drenched in sweat while the couples were officially wed, the rest of the party was a total blast - great flow of bubbly, good food, great friends, nice ambience....the list goes on...

Tabasco?

Out with some old school mates the other day, Mich and Eric, when Mich suddenly asked me 'Have you always pronounced To-Bas-Co?' Strangely to say, yes I have and for the first time in life, I actually took notice of the bottle and realized that it is actually spelt with an A and not O on the second alphabet. I bet many of you out there made the same mistake?

I'm staying off beer for 1 month. Was meant to start since last Sunday and the reminder was already on my MSN header but I couldn't resist one pint of Hoegaarden at The Library on Monday after dinner. Damnit! And Eric said:

Eric: Take a picture then later photoshop your hand red...
Mich and me: Scratching our heads wondering....
Eric: ....cause you have been caught red handed drinking beer...

Laura and Adrian's Big Day

October 2nd - The girls, Mary, Nat, Joanna, Angeline, Juliet and myself head down to suite 3312 in Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur to prepare the games for the 'jip san leung' morning.

Mary with the evil grin as she starts the prep work for the games. Put your mind to work what those grapes would be used for!! Sadly, in the end we did not have time for the grapes.

Joanna starts pounding the chillis with the bittergourd as all of us forgot the blended for the dreaded morning 'sweet, sour, bitter, spicy' drinks. Laura's looking on, amazed at her strength!

2 hours later, the prep, the props and the girls are all ready for the next morning to give the guys hell!




By 8am on October 3rd, all the girls, the cousins, the bride was ready to meet the groom and his entourage. Here's a group picture of the very pretty bride with all of us!



Here's comes the dashing groom, all suited up and ready to pick his bride...




But before that, 10 handpicked or voluntary 'heng dais' gotta have a taste of the painfully prepared drinks. Yeah, we even had slices of bitter gourd as deco on the cups. Creative eh!

As all Chinese wedding tradition goes, the 'open door angpow' is a must. The first angpow we received had wads of RM1 dollar notes. Is Laura only worth that much! He he he.


After only when most of the girls were happy with the 'ang pow' we let the guys in the first door where the real action began!

The 'kaku' (stiff at the joints from lack of exercise throughout the years) boys where then told to do some yoga poses... the unlucky ones chosen by the groom had the honour of pleasuring the girls.


And when you still don't give enough ang pow to proof how much your wife is really worth, this is the additional hurdle that you will have to do!

Finally, the groom has passed all hurdles and obstacles during the games session to pick up his bride. (MAMA this picture is OVER EXPOSED ..yeah blame it on her!)

We then headed to the Glad Tidings church on Jalan Gasing and had to arrive by 10.30 am. Not many pictures were taken here, as 5 of us had to walk down the aisle with Laura and were seated smack right in the front row.

When the morning session ended, we only had like a couple of hours rest before heading over to the hotel again for the dinner. (I've got some before and after pics of me and the girls before and after our make up pictures but I think I'll never live to see 2010 if I post them up here)

The very stunning bride and the quite handsome groom made their grand entrance at 8.30pm -the usual time for KL Hotel Wedding Dinners.

Ladies, take your pick- there are 3 other single ones excluding Natasha's other half (most right))And here's one of Laura with the girls -US. Sorry everyone here is either married, getting married or getting into a relationship (Joanna and myself have decided that we're probably meant for each other : HA HA HA)

The after party at Cynna. Wow, I'm surprised at our level of energy, especially Laura's and Adrian even after the long day - but when you're happily and blisfully married, nothing else in the world matters!

To Arthur! and Janice's Farewell

At times like this I love my Lumix LX3..

Last night we had a mini farewell for Janice, who will be heading off to Japan to further her Nihon-Go studies this coming Sunday. After dinner in USJ, we headed back to Bangsar South to meet up with George and Danny just to be told that SIDS is packed. Made a detour and headed towards Finnegans on Jalan Telawi to celebrate Arthur Guinness' 250th Birthday in style! According to my 'tong chi' Joanna, Malaysia has the 5th highest number of Guinness drinkers in the world and to think I was a real late starter (ahem..influenced again by my alchy friend whose name starts with the capital C)

I was also told that in European countries, only fat, old women drink Guinness. So to all the hot chics back home good on ya!

Priced at RM11 nett for 1/2 pint, we drank like there's no tomorrow (I wish!). Was a good night out with lots of pictures taken and Jayson happily snapping away with his brand new RM3800 Olympus camera (which Khoo-san reminding us repeatedly ..RM3800...RM3800)

While Calene is holidaying away in Salzburg this weekend, the rest of us back home are keeping ourselves contented with our fix of Guinness. (hehe..don't u miss us back home Cal)

Lin's Hens Night in Bangkok

3 days just came and went. This is perhaps one of the most fun trips I've had with the girls. Shopping, food and drinking. Did not take many pictures this round and most of them would be up in Facebook or just wait from a post from Sue Ann (making her virgin trip to Bangkok with her G10)!

This is us just arriving on Air Asia waiting for our luggages, all hyped and ready to bring Angeline down .....muahahhaah

After all the shopping at Suan Lum night market, Chatuchak market and massage, it was time for the pah -tay!!!

We chose the very posh SkyBar to celebrate the night.

Her first very simple easy peasy task - to down her girly Passion Fruit Margarita. Then came the real deal! Scanning the place, we found most people who either came in pairs or old balding men. Our best bet would have been Thijs from Amsterdam. Sue Ann decided that she would go up to him to find out ten things. But we got more than we bargained for - HA HA, she brought him back to hang out with 5 crazy Malaysian chickadees!

Drink prices were ridiculously priced, but I guess it's the ambience you're paying for. A glass of cocktail averages about RM48.

Here's a picture of Lin gladly sipping her B52 and the rest looking on! Mama is checking to make sure not one drop is left. I wonder why that sad face on Sue Ann - should have gotten her one too maybe! (This is the Angeline with the Devil's horns)

Lin KO-ed after 2 cocktails and 2 shots (the B52 and Sambuca Jagermeister). So after we tucked her nicely in bed, Joanna, Sue Ann, myself and Thijs went to a dodgy bar down the road from our hotel in Soi 4, Sukhumvit where the average guy was above 40s, balding and with such huge bellies it could have passed off as a 9 month pregnant woman (if they had a wig on). Each man had at least 2 ladies or maybe even 'ladies' all over them.

Night ended around 4am Malaysian time and the next day, the 5 zombies headed to Siam Paragon for some brunch and last minute shopping:- mama and myself continued our shopping spree at Boots for toiletries, Sue Ann headed straight for the bikini, swimwear section (even after 6 bikinis purchased the 2 days before), Lin - still looking for her pink pyjamas and Joanna at the branded stuff at Paragon. (Somehow I feel like RM's wife in the picture below with the red Crocs and the yellow T-Shirt)

Look at all the tired faces but no doubt it has been one of the best short trips I've had in a long time.
