Girl's night out at TMC Mid Year Wine Party

The girls (with the exception of Jacko - the future soya bean tycoon) and I had a fun night out at TMC's Mid Year Wine Party last night. Lots to drink, lots to eat.....and definitely very, very fun. Like 'mama' put it, " We should do this more often" in an sms sent at 8.30 am this morning!

Something that Kenneth from Luen Heng got us to try last night - absolutely great pick!

A group picture towards the end of the night. How many sober faces do you see here?

Yeah, and Sooyin is holding her her favourite Hello Kitty pillow case, something small I got her for her birthday (age cannot be revealed!!)
With all that food and drinks last night - it's off to the gym now for some Bhranga...XOXO...
Hav a smmmoookkkiin day ahead!

The Year of the OX!!!

We usher in the Year of the Ox tomorrow!!!!! The older we get, the less 'ang pows' we get. And the questions never change every year you visit your relos houses, 'When going to get married ah?' - and they never give up. And every year you're inclined to give the same answers, 'After you son/daughter aunty!" Otherwise it'll be, "Wah leng lui already" or "Wah fat already!" -mostly the latter and you'd wish you are able to throw the whole plate of "yee sang' into their faces. (If years younger, they'd probably would have pinched my cheeks!)

That said, the guys and myself had a pre CNY BBQ dinner at Jack's house last Friday. The night started around 7.30 with food and pre-dinner drinks (well not like the guests had a choice - Jack made all late comers down one shot of vodka every 6 minutes they're late!)

The gracious and handsome (ahem) host

Cal is very happy to see people get punished for being late - holding the glasses that would be filled with vodka shots - see the broad smile?

Jerome - our chef for the night did a great job with the BBQ

One of my favourite dishes for the night -mashed potato. So nicely done up by Jerome - Cal practically whacked 1/2 the pot (no I'm not exaggerating). I'm gonna try his recipe very soon. Looks easy but you'll never know!!!Jack's favourite - cockles (which was not exactly everyone's favourite)Being a pre-CNY gathering, the 'lou sang' is a must!!

Living in a multiracial and multicultural country, we were all really surprised that Hedzri - our muslim friend had never tried to 'lou sang' in his life (considering this dish is customary Malaysian Chinese tradition during Chinese New Year). A quick interview with him....

Nintendo wii and drinking games which lasted until almost 1 am. Damn, now I'm quite excited to get my very own set- that's if I get enough ang pow's this CNY. Yeah wishful thinking! I reckon people are getting stingier with the angpows as we get older. Either that or they expect you should already be married and giving to their kids/ grandkids instead.
The guys kept giving me shit about how crap I was at such games. Wait till I get my very own and beat their asses and shut their mouth! Woooohoooo

That's all for this post. Here's to wishing everybody a great year ahead.

May the Year of the Ox bring in prosperity for everyone, wealth, good health and a great love life ahead. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!!

Moet and Chandon Bar, Macau

After Wang Lee Hom's superb concert on Saturday night, Lin Lin and I decided to be 'high class' and try out the Moet and Chandon Bar at the Four Seasons Macau (at the same time hoping that his post concert celebrations would be there!!). I will blog about the ever so talented and good looking Lee Hom's fantastic concert once I get back to KL as this laptop is blarddeeeee slow and I am having a difficult time uploading video clips onto Youtube.

The dome
The trendy layout of the bar

One of their best sellers, the Moet Mojito - awesome! MOP 99.oo

The magnum sized Moet on display

This bar is a must visit for all to Macau. The first Moet and Chandon bar in the world. See it to get the Moet experience! (No I ain't advertising for them but the bar is really too good to be missed, although it was very very quiet on a Saturday night)

Parkson Pavillion Christmas Party

So I finally realized that it was a Christmas party after all at Parkson Pavillion with performances by Jesters and Christmas Carolling. I'm sure Papa and George had a great time with all the wines served!!!

Although I must admit that I was a little bit disappointed with the snail paced serving of finger food and freee floooooooooooowwww......

Some of my purchases....

But all is compensated....upon spending RM200 and above, we get a voucher worth RM50 which can be redeemed on the spot...And get a random door gift....I got ANNA SUI nail polish and mascara....lovely!!!!!!

Upon spending Rm300, we're in the running for the RM1800 worth of Chanel Products Grand Prize... tell me who won't be eyeing that!!!

And other freebies for the night!!!
Yes, typical Malaysians, never fail to be the first in line for free samples...

Guess who walked away with the Grand Prize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Psstt......see Kevin, it's the power of 'The Secret'. So now you should quickly read the book I sent to you!!!!!!)

P/S: Cal, Mama and Miki (Mama's soon to be Sister in Law) each chose something from the gift!! Christmas is the time to share and care!!!!

Everyone went home happy!!!! (probably with the exception of Papa who was trying some perfume and broke the sample bottle!!!!)

Pirates of the High Seas

JED at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel...

A lot of people asked me if I rented my outfit. I don't know to feel insulted or happy...except for the awful looking brown belt, which was rented, everything else belonged to me!!!!

Pre dinner drinks and finger food...the endless flow of champagne, wines and beer...that lasted the whole night long until the after party!!!

I wish they were all real gold!!!!

Dinner settings....

Backdrop....
All the accessories provided were free to be taken home (rings, necklaces, bandanas, hooks, swords, bangles) !!! I took the hat and some 'pearl' necklaces....
Yes, happily being killed by Vivian..
Dinner was so-so, much preferred the finger food of roast pig, tarts, vietnamese rice rolls, sushi, satay ...the list goes on..
Ho-ho..our third and final course ..yeah the whole skele head is made out of white chocolate. It's brains were berries with some bloody looking sauce...(I'm not very good at describing and I can't remember the name on the menu)
The after party!! Kenneth (yes, I guess this is what married life does to you) and err...Mr. Skeleton..

Me with our MC for the night..Captain Jack Sparrow....

Our door gift for the night - ladies get the Jewellery box courtesy of Shanghai Tang..

To sum it all up...a truly memorable night...
P/S: The lack of words on this post cause I'm feeling reallllyyy, reallllyyy tired.

Fun Filled Saturday

Sooyin got us girls passes to the 3D transformation session at the Novotel yesterday. Mama, Sooyin, her friend Felicia and myself had an interesting afternoon learning how to erm groom outselves, learn what clothes would suit your style best, how to make the best of accessories and also a lil bit of make up.

Next day must try the instant slimming strategies and see if I get any compliments!

Thought I would have a quiet night out at Bangkok Jazz...... checking out the cute bassist....

K songs we must learn to sing.....!!!!

Last night went to Red Box at the guys from 10 pm until 4 am. Crazy!!! I've never ever sat so long in a karaoke before....

Those fellas were asking me what sort of weird songs I chose......maybe we all from different era la.....and I was wondering why all the Jacky Cheung songs one after another....

Ok, so probably this is one of the very few 'their era' songs I still sing...yet the song is still alien to them. I have actually searched the You Tube karaoke video clip of the 草蜢 - 失樂園 (by Grasshopper) song. He he learn the lyrics la! How can duno how to sing this song?????? Best for the broken hearted.

And also...... 楊宗偉 (Aska Yang) - 洋蔥. Man, I love this song after Jansen sang in during one K sessions in Singapore....

And finally....... Jim's fav song...

Maxed out....

Last night started happy hours at 6 at brussels (yes, again). ended around 12 (for me la at least...). Jimmy commented today that he's never seen me in such a bad bad shape in a long time when we met at Hedz's open house this afternoon...hahahaha....so zombie-like.
Thanks for WS, Uncle G and Roy for the endless supply of black label..........

Still ok ok sober...I won't tell Joanna's embarassing moment out...muahahahahah

A dashing Hedz in his baju melayu....HA HA HA HA HA. I bet some of you will be damn stunned....

On a totally unrelated note, 'someone' mentioned before that he actually fell into one of these manholes while walking with a friend late one night and the friend actually wondered where he disappeared too. OMG i know it's horribly mean.............to laugh.....and he had to crawl out of it...

Finally, i got the rest of the Krabi pics from the gang today.....decided to post a few more up here...

I don't know which smart ass decided to play 'jenga' this way

Trying on my hew 'hawaiian' dress

So we taught the bar tenders how to 'chai mui' but because they could not drink while on the job, losers had to eat bananas...hahaha u won't guess how many the guy on my left and hedz ate.....

This dude obviously saw something in yellow chimp to ask him to sit on his lap for a picture
