Section 498 of the Penal Code

With all the hype on the Daphne Iking case, I am amused to find out that we have such a law:

Section 498 of the Penal Code states: “Whoever takes or entices away any woman who is and whom he knows, or has reason to believe to be the wife of any other man, from that man, or from any reason having the care of her on behalf of that man, with intent that she may have illicit intercourse with any person, or conceals, or detains any such woman, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with a fine, or with both.”

For those of you who are unaware of this case, our local celebrity, Daphne Iking's illicit affair with Choy Khin Ming, MD of Adidas Malaysia has garnered nationwide interest as husband is now suing Choy for enticing his wife. Read here for full story.

I wonder if there is a ruling that applies to women who entice your husbands.

He looks like a playboy. Boys are boys...got $ to splash. He should be jailed...if not many many guys will play around...and many guys (with wives) will have sleepless nites.

Now...how about husband snatcher?? Girls or wives out there....need to be alert...no law protecting the wives so far.
